Escuela Primaria Vicente Guerrero

Corazones Unidos partnered with Café Society in Mexico City on a community-driven fundraising initiative designed to support access to essential educational resources. Through this collaboration, 1,703 matchas were sold, with a percentage of proceeds (15% during the first month and 10% over the following two months) allocated to fund a project with Escuela Primaria Vicente Guerrero in Huixquilucan, Estado de México. This public elementary school serves children ages 6 to 12 from the surrounding community, providing free education to families with limited access to resources.

In close collaboration with the school’s director, we identified the specific needs of the students to ensure the support provided was both relevant and impactful. As a result, 158 students received backpacks and essential school supplies, including notebooks, dictionaries, pens and pencils, lunch bags, and pencil cases, equipping them with the tools needed for the academic year. This initiative reflects our approach: listening first, partnering locally, and delivering thoughtful, tangible support that directly impacts children’s ability to learn and thrive. What began as a simple, community-led collaboration translated into meaningful, real-world impact, and represents the kind of accessible, creative fundraising model we aim to continue building.
